Welcome to AuraTalk ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing a safe, transparent, and seamless language learning experience.

This Privacy Policy explains how AuraTalk collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Privacy-First & Local-First Philosophy

AuraTalk operates on a privacy-first, local-first architecture.

  • No Registration Required: You do not need to create an account, log in with an email address, or provide passwords to use AuraTalk.
  • Local Data Storage: All your core learning progress — including Experience Points (XP), levels, streak records, collected mystery packs, coins, and learned vocabulary — is stored directly on your device using local storage (SharedPreferences).

2. Information We Collect

Because we do not require user accounts, we do not collect personal identification information such as your real name, email address, phone number, or contacts.

A. Diagnostic & Crash Data (Firebase Crashlytics)

To ensure the app remains stable and bug-free, AuraTalk uses Google Firebase Crashlytics. When an unexpected crash occurs, anonymous technical diagnostic information is automatically recorded. This includes:

  • Device model and operating system version (e.g., Android version)
  • App state at the time of the crash
  • Stack traces and system performance logs

Note: Crash reports do not contain personal identification details.

B. Advertising Data (Google AdMob)

AuraTalk displays advertisements powered by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process anonymous device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID) to deliver relevant advertisements, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance.

  • You can manage or reset your advertising ID at any time in your Android device settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use non-personal diagnostic and analytical data solely to:

  • Monitor and improve app performance, speed, and stability.
  • Identify and resolve technical bugs or crash reports.
  • Serve non-intrusive advertisements to support free access to AuraTalk.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

  • On-Device Data: Your learning data resides on your device. You can completely wipe all local learning progress, XP, and custom profile settings at any time inside the app by going to Profile > Support > Clear User Data.
  • Uninstalling the AuraTalk app from your device automatically removes all locally stored data.
